Q. How can QuiltSandwich help me make Half Square Triangles?
It occurred to me the other day that there are several methods of creating half square triangles (HST) and we all have our favorites — each one has its place depending up what we are making.
So I put together some "how to" guides for half-square triangles:
2. Oversized method for creating HST using QuiltSandwich
Did you know that you can modify QuiltSandwich Yardage Calculator settings to cut oversized HST so you can use a square up ruler? And what if I want to create HST using squares AND cut them oversized? Just follow these same instructions!
3. Two at a Time method for HST using QuiltSandwich
And sometimes I like to use the Two at a Time method. This is what I call cutting a square, drawing the diagonal line and sewing on either side of it. Now how big do I need to cut those squares?
