QUILTSANDWICH> SUPPORT> FAQs> How do I enlarge or reduce the size of an image?

Q. How do I enlarge or reduce the size of an image when Size it! gives me a percentage larger than my copier/printer can handle?

It's very straight forward. Simply put, break into multiple steps the increase or decrease into multiple steps.

For example, say you have a quilting doodle that is 1.5” on one side and you want to mark it onto an 8” area on a block —
  1. Put original and desired lengths into Size it! This enlargement requires a 533% increase.
  2. Enlarge the doodle by the maximum possible on your copier/printer and print it out.
  3.  Measure the same side and enter the new ‘original’ dimension into Size it! to find the percentage increase needed for the copier/printer to enlarge the doodle to 8”.

That’s it. That’s all there is to it!
