Make Half Square Triangles (HST) using QuiltSandwich — 3 methods explained

It occurred to me the other day that there are several methods of creating half square triangles and we all have our favorites.  And- each one has its place depending on what we are making.

And sometimes I like to use the Two at a Time method.  This is what I call cutting a square, drawing the diagonal line and sewing on either side of it.  Now how big do I need to cut those square?
